Everything has a starting point – your life, your relationships, your education, your career. Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. Starting Point is an 8-week journey of discovering the broad arch of God’s story and where you fit into the narrative. Whether you are new to the Christian faith, simply curious about it, or reexamining it after time away from church, you’ll appreciate the accepting, conversational, small-group environment. Come as you are, be who you are, and build enriching connections with fellow travelers as you explore who God is and what Christianity is really about.
Led by Angela Kempton on Sundays at 11:30 AM, beginning October 15 – December 10, upstairs in Room 216.
Sign-up by clicking HERE.

Welcome to Lancaster Community Church’s Blessed to Give page. You may have been drawn to this page because another person generously blessed you in some way or you have come across one of the dollars with the Blessed to Give stamp on it. Well whatever the reason is that led you to this page we are glad that you have visited. The Blessed to Give movement began in September of 2017 and our hope with this movement is to both challenge and encourage everyone to be more generous in their lives.
Even if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ you know the benefits that generosity can bring. Giving is not only contagious but it increases our life satisfaction by prompting gratitude in us and connecting us with others in a way that can break down prejudice, selfishness, or anything else that keeps us from loving those around us. This is precisely what Jesus is communicating in Acts 20:35 of the Bible when he says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The most generous person of all time knew first hand how an act of generosity could radically make a difference in someone’s life.
We hope that you will join with us in keep this movement going. Here’s how:
- Use the dollar bill with the Blessed to Give stamp on it to do something generous for somebody. It can be a friend, a family member or even a complete stranger.
- Take a photo of you before, during or after your act of generosity and post it with the hash tag (#BLSED2GIVE) along with a brief story highlighting your experience and how impacted both you and the other person.
- Please do not include any numbers or amounts that you gave. Only the story and the impact it made. This story is not to elevate you but to challenge and encourage others to also be more generous in their lives.

For the past 5 years our staff have been writing devotionals that we hand out on Sundays.
We are thrilled to announce that beginning March 6, these devotionals will be available in the form of a daily email. If you would like to receive the devotional each day in your email, simply click HERE to sign-up.
It is an extremely easy process where you enter your name and email address and voila! Beginning Sunday, March 6 the devotional will be waiting in your inbox. If for some reason you are unable to take advantage of this option, we will have a limited number of copies available at Connection Central.
The most important thing that you can do is to connect relationally with Jesus and secondly to connect with others. LCC’s Connect Groups are the perfect environment to experience both. A Connect Group is a small group of adults that meet regularly to care for and encourage one another in their pursuit of Christ. If you would like more information about Connect Groups or are interested in signing up for a Connect Group please visit the Connect Group table in the back of the sanctuary today or SIGN UP HERE.
I pray they help you in your search for truth and an understanding of the Gospel.
BIBLE STUDY TOOLS
Bible Study Tools-Free Online (This is Strong’s Concordance and if you use the NASB it will be very similar to the ESV)
Bible Gateway-Free Online (their search functions as a concordance)
Matthew Henry’s Commentary- Offered Free at the below resources (make sure you look for the updated language version…it will get very hard to read if you choose the original version)
Bible Study Software
Logos – This is the premiere Bible Study software that I know of. This is what we use as pastors here at the church. It is also very expensive.
Learning To Study Scripture
Grasping God’s Word– This is one of the best text books on how to study scripture. It has shaped much of what I teach in the BIBLE:ONE and BIBLE:BASICS class.
Biblical Training– I haven’t spent much time with this resource, but it looks amazing. It is a free online class that you can customize and make work for you. So imagine your own customizable college class on how to read the Bible. It also couples with an iOS and Android App)
iTunesU Classes (These are classes that are college & seminary level classes that are mostly offered for free through iTunesU. Some of the resources that go along with the class may cost you but the lectures and material are generally free)
