Christmas Eve Services

XMAS_WEB-05
Christmas is the busiest time of the year, when it seems there just isn’t enough time to get everything done. We run from one thing to another, barely having a chance to reflect on why the holiday even exists. At LCC, we like to slow down and scale things back, pausing to truly embrace what we celebrate at Christmas: Jesus. In light of that, we will not be holding any morning services on Christmas Eve, giving you an opportunity to have a slow morning together with your family. Then you can plan on joining us at 4:00 or 6:00 PM for one of our Candlelight services. In order to help us out with planning, please RSVP for the service you plan on attending by clicking on the link below.
To RSVP for the 6:00 PM service, please click HERE.

Starting Point

SP_SLIDER

Everything has a starting point – your life, your relationships, your education, your career. Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. Starting Point is an 8-week journey of discovering the broad arch of God’s story and where you fit into the narrative. Whether you are new to the Christian faith, simply curious about it, or reexamining it after time away from church, you’ll appreciate the accepting, conversational, small-group environment. Come as you are, be who you are, and build enriching connections with fellow travelers as you explore who God is and what Christianity is really about.

Led by Angela Kempton on Sundays at 11:30 AM, beginning October 15 – December 10, upstairs in Room 216.

Sign-up by clicking HERE.

#BLSED2GIVE

BLSED2GIVE

Welcome to Lancaster Community Church’s Blessed to Give page. You may have been drawn to this page because another person generously blessed you in some way or you have come across one of the dollars with the Blessed to Give stamp on it. Well whatever the reason is that led you to this page we are glad that you have visited. The Blessed to Give movement began in September of 2017 and our hope with this movement is to both challenge and encourage everyone to be more generous in their lives.

Even if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ you know the benefits that generosity can bring. Giving is not only contagious but it increases our life satisfaction by prompting gratitude in us and connecting us with others in a way that can break down prejudice, selfishness, or anything else that keeps us from loving those around us. This is precisely what Jesus is communicating in Acts 20:35 of the Bible when he says, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The most generous person of all time knew first hand how an act of generosity could radically make a difference in someone’s life.

We hope that you will join with us in keep this movement going. Here’s how:

  • Use the dollar bill with the Blessed to Give stamp on it to do something generous for somebody. It can be a friend, a family member or even a complete stranger.

  • Take a photo of you before, during or after your act of generosity and post it with the hash tag (#BLSED2GIVE) along with a brief story highlighting your experience and how impacted both you and the other person.

  • Please do not include any numbers or amounts that you gave. Only the story and the impact it made. This story is not to elevate you but to challenge and encourage others to also be more generous in their lives.
