PASTORS

Matt Johnson
Lead Pastor

Matthew grew up in Detroit, Michigan and had two loving and godly parents, who were pastors. Matthew was raised in the church and after high school attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. After college, he took a position at his father¹s church as youth pastor and married his high school sweetheart, Mary, in 2001. After serving at his father¹s church for five years, Matthew and Mary moved to Lancaster in 2004 to take a position at Lancaster Community Church, serving as Youth Pastor and eventually Executive Pastor.
Matthew became Lead Pastor of Lancaster Community Church on March 6, 2011. Matthew and Mary have three handsome young boys Cole, Titus and Lincoln and a beautiful daughter, Nora.


Joe Barber
Pastor and Director of Youth Ministries 

Joe was born in Lancaster, but spent most of his childhood in Florida. His parents were full time missionaries with Teen Missions, which planted the seed for his passion for missions. Joe moved back to Ohio to complete high school at Northridge.
Joe has worked in construction, excavating, and city administration. Joe has been married to his wife, Katie, for eleven years and has a daughter named Julia.
In addition to his passion for missions, Joe enjoys working with youth. He has been a leader in LCC’s youth ministry, Movement, for six years and is also the youth director for Stoutsville Camp Meeting.

Phil Venrick – Pastor
Pastor and Director of Children’s Ministries

Phil has a passion for working with children and teaching them to know Jesus as their friend. He believes that putting scripture and the truths about Christ into young minds is the best way to assure that a child will have a solid and fulfilling relationship with their creator. Phil is a dedicated husband to his wife Stacy and an enthusiastic father to Justin age 12 and Will age 3. When asked why he loves children’s ministry Phil will instantly tell you that he was “created to disciple children!” He has previously worked in business management in both the grocery industry and the fitness industry. His creativity and joy for life bring a special element to our children’s department.

Chris Reed – Pastor
Pastor and Director of Media and Technology

Chris grew up in the small town of Waynesburg, Ohio, a rural outskirt of Canton. He attended college at Malone (College) University where he graduated with a BA in Bible and Theology. Chris moved to Lancaster in 2003 to take a job in construction and marry his wife Cassie. Chris and Cassie have three kids, Elijah, Hannah, and Abigail. Besides graphic design and media production, Chris loves to spend his time playing with his kids, talking theology, reading, and running.

DIRECTORS & ADMINISTRATORS

Bob Drew
Director of Connections

Bob grew up in the small suburban town of Concordville, right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He met his beautiful wife, Amy, while he attended Millersville University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Graduating with a B.A. in History, Bob entered the non-profit world where he focused heavily on customer service, volunteer support and fundraising.
In 2009, God called the Drew family to serve the youth and families of Central and Southern Ohio. Through non-profit work, God cultivated a heart for servanthood in Bob. He has a desire to help others connect with Jesus through deep relationships between fellow Christians. His goal is to help everyone understand, embrace and use the gifts God built into them through focused discipleship.

Carrie Crawford
Director of Worship

Carrie is from Logan. She married her high school sweetheart, Jarrod, who is also a worship leader at LCC, in 2001. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Education, and taught for several years before leaving the teaching profession to be a stay-at-home Mom to her sons, Silas, Cohen, and Sawyer. Music has always been a driving force in Carrie’s life. She was born into a very musical family. She made her worship leading debut at age 3 with her parents and their band at a prison in Columbus when she stood up on a chair and sang “Jesus Loves Me” for the inmates, and has seized every moment since then to share music that speaks of God’s love and greatness. Besides family and musical activities, Carrie loves to read, write, bake, travel, and enjoys all kinds of outdoor adventures.

Mary Johnson
Director of Women’s Ministries

Mary was born and raised in a wonderful Christian home in the Detroit area of Michigan. After graduating from college she and her high school sweetheart, Matthew, were married. She taught first grade for several years before moving to Lancaster for her husband to take a position at Lancaster Community Church. After teaching for a year in Fairfield County, Matthew and Mary’s first son Cole was born and Mary has since been a stay at home mom. Mary loves being a wife, a mother to Cole, Titus, Lincoln, and Nora and sharing God’s love with people.

Christel Montgomery
Financial Administrator

Christel is from the small town of Arcanum, Ohio, about half an hour from Dayton. She attended college at Wright State University for Corporate Accounting. Christel and her family moved to Lancaster in 2002 when her husband accepted a job in this area. Christel and Jason have two kids, Kaylee and Keegan. Christel also runs Conversation Coffee Shop at LCC. Christel loves to spend her free time with her family and baking.

ASSISTANTS

Sherrie Duck
Assistant to the Lead Pastor

Sherrie grew up in Lancaster, Ohio. Sherrie and her husband Bruce have been married for 7 years. She is the mother of three children, two step children and has two grandsons. She has 18 years experience as an Administrative Assistant. Sherrie loves spending time with her family, attending her son’s high school football and basketball games and baking.

Sara Miller
Youth Ministry Assistant

Sara grew up in Baltimore, Ohio, and graduated from Liberty Union High School. She attended Wilmington College of Ohio where she graduated in 2003 with a BA in Communication Arts. After graduating, she settled in Lancaster and worked in advertising and new home sales before coming on staff at LCC in 2006.  In February 2012, she was blessed to have her handsome son, Tucker.  Sara is passionate about youth ministry and loves being able to teach the Bible at Lancaster High School every week. Besides that, Sara loves being a mom and spending time with her son, family & friends and watching sports.

Phil Krouse
Assistant to the Media Department

Phil and his wife Natalie are from the small town of Circleville, just southwest of Lancaster. Phil grew up learning about Jesus, but never dreamed God was preparing him to serve in full time ministry. Phil worked as an intern for 9 months at LCC in the Media department before he was hired full time as the Assistant to the Media Department.
Besides design and video, Phil has a heart for broken and hurting people and desires to see them set free. In addition to being married to his wonderful wife Natalie, he is blessed to be the father of two young boys, Landon and Carter.

Tiffany Fulk
Children’s Ministry Assistant

Tiffany grew up in Lancaster, Ohio and graduated from Lancaster High school. She loves working with kids and teaching them about Jesus, so they can continue to experience Him for the rest of their lives. Her Grandfather was a pastor in town and she attended church most of her life. She loves seeing God work in her everyday life and experiencing His love and grace! She has been married to her high school sweetheart Nate for 8 years. She previously worked in retail for 12 years–in those years she managed Praises bookstore for 4-years before she came to LCC.
