‘for we walk by faith, not by sight.’ 2 Corinthians 5:7

Are we looking at the “signs” of the world instead of what’s clearly laid out before our very eyes? We listen to the shouts of the world and others’ opinions of what we should be doing instead of listening to the still, steady voice of God. We walk awkwardly along our paths that we’ve chosen because we aren’t confident in what God wants for us, at times forgetting to include Him in the decision on what path to take in the first place.

I took this photo close to our new property some months ago. And while God’s hand has been in the process of building our new home, I have had moments where I believed the “signs, the ones telling us that we can’t do it, the ones judging us, the ones that told us we couldn’t afford it. At times I actually believed the “signs.”

And then God…

In His infinite Grace and love, He would remind me that He is my center line.

And then God…

Reminded me that He laid this out for us, specifically for us. And to keep our eyes on Him.

And then God…

Sent others to lift us up, to pray for us, to support us, to love us.

And then God…

Made finances work out to bless us beyond belief, even though we don’t deserve it.

Take a look at your own journey, your road. Are you paying attention to the “signs”? Is it creating confusion? Are the signs pointing you in a direction that wouldn’t be the direction God would send you? Are these signs breeding bitterness and resentment? Is the clarity of what God wants you to do clouded by those around you? What decision(s) are you putting off? What do you need prayer for to continue on your journey, your road? Message me with prayer requests. I’d love to join you in prayer about your paths.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
