Do you ever feel like you aren’t good enough? This is exactly what satan wants you to think. He wants you to think that you don’t deserve God’s love and that you can’t be used by God. Those are all lies. God loves YOU, and He wants to use YOU. I think we all need this reminder in our lives. We all deal with insecurity in some area of our lives, and we need to be reminded that we are who HE says we are. I have been struggling with the feeling of inadequacy, and I have been holding on to the lyrics of this song by Kristine DiMarco, I Am No Victim.

I am who He says I am
He is who He says He is
I’m defined by, all His promises
Shaped by, every word He says
I am who He says I am
He is who He says He is
I’m defined by, all His promises
Shaped by, every word He says

The first time I listened to this song, I felt so overwhelmed by God’s promises and I just wept. I felt God reminding me that I am who He says I am, that I AM worthy, and I AM good enough. In today’s world, it is so easy to get caught up in trying to be perfect, and we fall into that comparison trap, which can cause us to feel like we just don’t measure up. Don’t let satan steal your identity! You are a child of God.

He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ,

according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace,

with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

Ephesians 1:5-6 ESV

I challenge you this week to spend some time with God. Maybe turn this song on and worship, or just ask God to remind you of His promise that you are who He says you are…and He will. I pray that we would continually remember this truth this week, and when those feelings of unworthiness creep in, we would instantly run to God.
